These terms apply when you use NailChecker on nailchecker.com, on a clinic's page, or embedded on a clinic's website. By using it you agree to them.

What NailChecker is

NailChecker is a free way to send a clinic a photo of your toenails or fingernails, with your answers to a few questions, and book a free consultation so a professional can look at your nails. An automatic check makes sure the photo is clear enough; it does not assess your nail.

No assessment of your nails: important

• NailChecker does not assess your nails or tell you what is causing a change. It sends your photo and answers to the clinic so your free consultation can start where you left off. Only a professional can tell what is behind a nail change.
• NailChecker does not tell you whether you have an infection or any other condition, does not give a probability, and does not recommend a treatment. It is not intended to diagnose or monitor any condition and does not replace a doctor, podiatrist or other health professional.
• The automatic photo check only judges photo quality (focus, light, whether a nail is visible). It can be wrong about that too; if it is, you can use the photo anyway.
• If you have pain, swelling, redness, pus, a dark streak or spot under the nail, diabetes or poor circulation, or a weakened immune system, see a doctor rather than waiting for a consultation.
• Before-and-after photos marked as real show past clients of the clinic. Other people's results do not predict yours.

The clinic

Consultations, bookings, treatments, prices and aftercare are provided by the clinic, which is responsible for them. Whether a treatment is suitable for you, and its risks, are discussed with the clinic at your consultation. Booking happens on the clinic's own booking site under its terms.

Using NailChecker fairly

• You must be 18 or older.
• Only upload photos of your own nails, or of someone who has clearly agreed. Never upload photos of anyone under 18.
• Give correct contact details, and do not use the service to harass anyone, to send spam, or to overload or copy the service.

Your photo and answers

You keep the rights to your photo. You allow us and the clinic to use your photo and answers only to handle your consultation request, as described in the Privacy policy. The NailChecker name, design and software belong to Swedish Standards by Scandinavia Ltd.

Availability and liability

We work to keep NailChecker available and accurate, but it is provided as it is, without a guarantee that the service is always available. As far as the law allows, Swedish Standards by Scandinavia Ltd is not liable for decisions made on the basis of using it, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the law of the country where Swedish Standards by Scandinavia Ltd is registered. This does not take away mandatory consumer protection that applies where you live. Questions: info@penelopegomes.com.
